I love summer time! The heat is steadily rising in South Georgia, and with finals approaching, I am getting more and more excited for days by the pool with iced tea, a good book, and some country music. While I love the feeling I get from the sunny days and pretty flowers, I am not really a huge fan of buying investment pieces for summer. I am more of an invest-in-an-awesome-winter-coat kinda gal, so I have decided to post about some of my favorite things I have found lately that scream summer and are right in my price range. Who doesn't love a colorful playsuit or fun sunglasses? No one, that's who.

It is blatantly obvious that I am dying for a really awesome pair of colored pants. Red to start, and then probably every color in the rainbow. They seem like the perfect way to be professional while also making a statement. And who doesn't love an amazing pencil skirt? I know I do.

I love these, and these, and these, and these! Yay!

Quick post covering a few random moments from the past week or so. I've been too busy to find time to sit down and desire things like I usually do. I could be posting about my very first birchbox arrival, but I accidentally had it sent home instead of Athens. Leave it to me... that will have to come later, I guess.

One of my best friends, Jenna, is starring in the musical Chicago though UGA's theatre department. It opens tomorrow night, and it has inspired me to channel my inner Roxy Hart and travel back in time to the Roaring 20s, my favorite time period. I love the amazing embellishments, drop waist dresses, t-strap pumps, and glamorous gold. 20s style is very wearable and chic, making any girl feel fabulous. Summertime is coming QUICKLY in South Georgia. Loving the sunny weather but hating the heat. While walking Rollie (my pup) in the park a few weeks ago, I lost my absolute favorite pair of folding tortoise Ray-Ban wayfarers that I've had for years.It was tragic. I have three more pairs of Ray-Bans, but sunglasses have always been my obsession, and I am dying for another pair. I really liked the versatility of my wayfarers; they went with everything. Dressed up, dressed down... They never failed me. Should I just get another pair? Trying to decide. Here are some pairs that are on my mind these days:

My best friends in the entire world turned twenty yesterday! We spent the night singing karaoke at an awesome little sushi place. So, SO much fun! It's always nice to forget all your weekly responsibilities and troubles and just do a little dancin :)
